The Phantom XP's expandable saddle body combines the best of both. With the panel collapsed, it feels like a minimalist single-panel saddle. When you want more support, simply pull down on the lower portion of the saddle to expand the built-in pleat, creating additional support exactly where you need it.

If you're just getting started, one of our Starter Kits includes everything you need to begin saddle hunting, including your lineman rope, tether, and other essential gear.

No. The leg straps are an important safety component that helps keep the saddle properly positioned in the event of an unexpected fall. For that reason, they are not removable.

To hunt safely with a saddle, you'll also need:

• A lineman rope to stay connected while climbing.
• A tree tether to support you at hunting height.
• A climbing method, such as Tethrd One Climbing Sticks.
• A platform, such as the Predator V, to stand on while hunting.

Many hunters also add:

• SYS Hauler or Modular Saddle Pockets for gear storage.
• A HYS Strap with a Fold N Go or Quick Draw for hanging your pack, bow, or firearm.
• Knee pads or a Knushion XT for additional comfort during longer sits.
