I have a pile of great packs I use for various applications, but none I had really suited me for saddle hunting, so I did a bunch of searches online, trying to find one that suited my needs. When I came across the video of the FAS pack, I really liked the features, so I ordered one and got it in quickly from Tethrd. This pack is PERFECT for my needs. My Arsenal platform clips right in to the Molle webbing on the back of the pack, and with the free compression kit, I was able to easily strap my sticks to either side like I like. I love how the pack does not have a waist belt, but still is super secure with the chest strap when climbing. Also, without the waist belt and the high ride of the pack, the pack does not push down on my saddle when walking in or climbing, which I really appreciate. It has plenty of pockets and I was actually able to take my Doyle's bow hoist and put in one pocket and pull the rope through the bottom grommet so it is protected from it banging on my sticks or platform, but still feeds out nicely as I go up or down the tree. Plenty of room in the main compartment for extra clothes or gear and the side pouches holds all my small things like headlamp, knife, calls and other things I like to take with me on a hunt. The fact it can mate with a frame pack is really cool if you were to go where you needed to pack out an animal. Once I get the hunting height, it hangs on the tree with a low profile, and the top of the main compartment is made so you can fold just the top open, making it easy access to that without dumping everything out. Very well-made and just the perfect saddle pack for me!

Love the versatility of this pack how I can add and take away from it is great. The zippers are loud but that was to be expected. The one thing I did not expect is how uncomfortable it would be while carrying definitely needs a belt. And the way it sits on shoulders makes even when it’s not full the pack feel heavy.
That being said, I will continue to use it and see if I can figure out how to adjust and or carry to where it does not feel that way I do like how it works in a tree
Love the quiet zippers and the light weight! Tons of storage
I finally was able to get my hands on this pack and I wanted the upgraded straps due to being wide in the shoulders.. The only thing that killed my excitement was when I opened the pack and seen the Made in Vietnam instead of Made in USA like the prior ones..Even though the videos on the website still show the Made in Usa tag on the inside. Also the pack doesn’t have strata on the inside anymore, just green fleece which isn’t a deal breaker but was stated on the website to still have it. The quality of the pack is great and the design is also! Just kinda let down that they moved production overseas and only dropped the price tag by $50 from the original.
